I love this outfit from Madewell as part of their contest with Teen Vogue. It makes me want to go back to school so I can be the most Madewell-chic girl in class. It also proves that texture is all it takes to take a piece from simple to stand-out! Her sweater wouldn’t look nearly as good if it were solid black.
I love this street style photo from Paris Fashion Week. I’m crazy about big florals and this look reminds me of the following Marni pieces I’ve been lusting after on the Outnet:
I also adore her sunglasses. The shape gives an awesome retro edge to the outfit — keeping it modern — and the color perfectly complements the soft femininity of her jacket. I haven’t purchased sunglasses in awhile (my Wayfarers have served me so, so well) but this inspires me to start looking.
Still on the Santorini wavelength, I love this Peter Pilotto dress on Kate Bosworth and her Chanel clutch. I don’t love her shoes but in general this look is summer gorgeous.
Anja Rubik’s blue ostrich-feathered Emilio Pucci dress she wore at Cannes was the definition of an attention-getter, with its light color, opulent texture and flamboyant volume. But perhaps more noteworthy were her pink satin Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, which were embellished with 22 diamond carats, 199 pink sapphire carats and 134 carats of rubellites — whoa!
The shoes and Rubik’s matching Chopard earrings were auctioned off at amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS gala for $200,000.
Personally, I adore ostrich feather and the dress is fabulous, albeit not appropriate for every occasion. The look is definitely a unique one — so what do you think? Love it or leave it?
